Building Bridges Between Design Thinking and creative learning
possibilities for technological education

The present paper aims to establish convergences between the Design Thinking approach, applied to educational contexts from the perspective of Tim Brown, and creative learning based on the book 'Lifelong Kindergarten: Cultivating Creativity through Projects, Passion, Peers, and Play' by Mitchel Resnick, within the framework of Innovative Technological Education – ITE. Adopting bibliographic research as the methodology, qualitative Content Analysis, following Bardin's perspective, was employed. The data were synthesized through the construction of two mind maps. As a result, it was possible to establish consistent connections between the general concepts of both approaches, reinforced by the five components of the creative learning spiral, and among each of the stages of Design Thinking. It is concluded that, despite their differences, the approaches share a similar objective: to provide tools for individuals to develop their creative potential. The established relationships align with the perspective of ITE, as they revealed the importance of student protagonism, the relationship between theory and practice, and the critical reflection on the impacts of technology and the social nature of knowledge.
