Astronomy can be seen as an interdisciplinary science with great educational potential. However, certain contents addressed by this knowledge area require the use of specific teaching structures to achieve better learning. In this scenario, using a virtual reality-based computational tool, for example, contributes to optimizing these contents' teaching process. This paper presents the design, development, and evaluation of a virtual planetarium, in an immersive environment. The goal is to evaluate this application, both in terms of its usability and user experience. This research, methodologically characterized as quantitative, collected data through the application of SUS (System Usability Scale) questionnaires with students who used the developed application. The achieved results show that the tool had an excellent evaluation regarding its usability.
